Welfare Wednesday!

Welfare Wednesday!

Welcome to the final edition of stretching 🤸🏼‍♂️

With it being Eating Disorder awareness week, we thought it would be a good time to shed some light on how foods can benefit your muscles, bones and joints.

Protein
Protein is an important part of your daily diet, especially if you’re heading out for a run. Protein is made up of amino acids which the body uses to build and repair muscles and bones, it can also be used as an energy source.

Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates provide the body with glucose, this is converted into energy which is used to support bodily functions and physical activity.

Vitamins
Ensuring your getting enough vitamins and minerals are so important, they help to fight infection, wound healing and ensure our bones stay strong, supporting growth and development.  Make sure you’re getting your vitamin D and calcium to strengthen those bones and enough B12 to keep your energy levels up!

Pop back next Wednesday for your next monthly theme❗️

In the meantime… 🧘🏼 Happy stretching 🧘🏼‍♀️
