Welcome to Julys edition of welfare Wednesday and this month we are going to be focusing on self care
No better place to start than self care in the sun! Read on for our top tips…
☀️Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate - before, during and after. Remember to add in an electrolyte too
☀️Adjust your goals - running for PBs is not a good idea in the heat, instead focus on your RPE (rate of perceived exertion) and monitor your heart rate
☀️Dress for the heat - wear loose breathable clothing, sweat bands and remember your sun hat and sunglasses
☀️ Suncream
☀️ Time it well - head out early or later to avoid the heat of the day
☀️ Head to the trails - find shady areas to run in to try and keep cool
