Benidorm10k & Half

Benidorm has been a popular tourist town for many years, and the Half Marathon has also grown in popularity and reputation with runners from all over. This is a well organised event on a revised flat and fast course and PBs are more than possible, certainly for the 10K runners. Both the Half Marathon and 10K are run over a flat course on closed public roads. It takes in the town's two main beach areas.

The course is well laid out, giving more than a few opportunities for supporters to catch a view of the race. Benidorm has got to be one of the ultimate entertainment centres in Europe. There are more bars, cafes and restaurants than you can shake a stick at. There are numerous cabaret performances, including some of the UK's biggest stars.

Giants Head Weekend

Giants Head Weekend

  • Sydling St. Nicholas, Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 9NP (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This event weekend provides something for all the family, with the Marathon and 10K on the Saturday, a barn dance in the village hall for those who can still walk on Saturday evening, and then the brilliantly fun LittleFeet Bell Race and Half Marathon on the Sunday.

The LittleFeet Bell Race challenges anyone, children included, to reach the top of the hill and complete a task set by a team member. Then, you run down the hill with your bell clonking away like an Alpine Cow!

All routes are challenging and hilly, running through the Sydling and Cerne valleys. It's certainly not for the faint hearted; it's a tough race, with some steep climbs, sharp descents and the most amazing views to reward yourself with.

The village will once again be providing food for you on Friday and Saturday evening. These options can be booked alongside your event entry.

Hangers Way 50K

Hangers Way 50K

The Hangers Way is a spectacularly unique long distance path, characterised by steep-sided wooded hills, known as “The Hangers”. The fully-signed course meanders through the beautiful woodland and grassland of the Hampshire countryside, visiting delightful villages such as Bighton and Selborne, home to Gilbert White, the naturalist and pioneer environmentalist.

It runs from Alton to Queen Elizabeth Country Park and we have used our usual BigFeat creativity to link the best trails up with this to make it a phenomenal 50K route.
