Training is going well, when I got the news of London I was in the midst of a half marathon training block for Farmborough Winter Half, so I wanted to stick to that and try and PB my half marathon. I timed everything well so that my London training block would start the week I tapered for Farnborough. I went into that race a bit under the weather yet still pulled off a PB which I’m very happy with.
I’m now spending every week training hard and upping my long runs. I decided to do Brighton Half Marathon as a training long run because I feel I thrive better in race conditions, than just training alone. What is scaring me the most is that this training block seems to be flying by and London is going to be here before I know it. Everything is going well and to plan. With more half marathons available in March I decided to enter The Surrey Half, not quite what I was expecting but another long run in the bag. I’m loving all of it so far and hopefully the weather continues to pick up.
